  • I am already in a private medical insurance scheme, why should I change?

    HTA Healthcare Services has a wealth of experience in developing Trade Association schemes that reflect the needs of their members, deliver value for money and provide the benefits to match requirements. You will get all the benefits of belonging to the wider Trade Association and may save money.

  • I don’t have cover at the moment, will pre-existing conditions be covered?

    This will depend on the individual circumstances. When applying for cover, you will need to declare any conditions that you or your employees already have. All applications are individually assessed by an underwriter who will advise as to whether any exclusion need apply to your policy. Speak to a member of the specialist team at HTA Healthcare Services for advice on your particular circumstances.

  • I have insurance and I am happy with my provider – how can I take advantage of the HTA Healthcare Services Scheme?

    Should you prefer to remain with your current insurer, you can still utilise HTA Healthcare Services. On many occasions we have been able to save our members money, without affecting cover or claims.

  • Will the policy also cover the families of employees?

    Yes, cover can also be extended to cover families. This will include partners and children up to the age of 21 (this may increase if in full time education)

  • What will utilising the service of HTA Healthcare Services cost?

    The service offered is free of charge as part of your HTA membership. It is hoped the service provides a win-win situation as usually members who have an existing scheme can keep the same policy, but gain a discount. Those new to private medical insurance or any other health related product can also utilise our industry reputation and take advantage of our buying power and negotiation skills within the marketplace.

  • Will having HTA Healthcare Services in place increase premiums?

    No – renewal premiums will not be affected by using the services; however they can often negotiate a discount on existing renewal premiums. If they are unable to gain a discount, they will provide viable alternatives from other insurers that may be an option.

  • Is this time consuming for people or businesses that can’t afford the time to look into it?
